Mining, metals and such are or have become somewhat of a necessity to society despite the harm to the enviornment and the human costs.

But efforts are being made to change the nature of mining to be more environmently and worker freindly.

This emergent field is known as ecomining.

Ed Jonas: No problem Andrius. I'm not sure how current or alive the info is but it is a start to a new approach to a perhaps much needed industry. There is some talk about a new type of mining proposal in the US but it remains to be discussed and detailed. Investors are being sought though.
